I upgraded the site today to WordPress 2.3, which was a very easy process. Upgrading consisted of:

• Downloading the 2.3 source files
• Extracting the files locally
• FTP’ing them to my server (overwriting the existing files)
• Running the upgrade script (upgrade.php)

That was pretty much it.. took about 5 minutes. Now granted, the size of my site is pretty small, so depending on the size of your site, your mileage may vary. I also don’t use a large amount of plug-ins, so I had no compatibility issues.
